Meet Engine 71: Rural Metro Fire's Newest Fire Engine in Pima County

When you call 911 for a fire, you want the right equipment to arrive fast. That's why we're excited to introduce the newest member of our fleet: Engine 71.

Engine 71 is now in service in Pima County. It's the fourth new engine we've placed in service this year.

What a New Engine Means for Your Community

A fire engine is the workhorse of every emergency response. It carries the crew, the water, the hoses, and the tools firefighters rely on in the first minutes of a call.

Newer engines help us keep that response dependable. Reliable equipment means crews can focus on what matters most: protecting your family, your home, and your neighbors.

Four New Engines in One Year

Engine 71 isn't a one-off. It's our fourth new engine this year, and it shows an ongoing effort to keep our fleet ready for the communities we serve across Pima County.

Every new engine starts its journey the same way: crews get trained on it, equipment gets loaded, and it goes into service ready to respond.

Watch and See Engine 71

We've shared Engine 71 on our Facebook page. Take a look, and if you see it out in your neighborhood, give the crew a wave.
