Some days at the fire station have nothing to do with sirens. Sometimes the job is to put a smile on a kid’s face.
On October 19, a young man named Jeremiah got a front row seat to meet Spider-Man. Firefighters, a ladder truck, and a few friendly superheroes made it happen.
A Superhero Meets the Fire Engine
Jeremiah got to see Spider-Man up close, and he didn’t have to wait in a crowd to do it. Spider-Man scooped him up for a hug right next to the fire engine. Later, the web-slinger climbed up on the ladder truck for a view from above.
Even a villain-looking character showed up for a high-five. Everyone was in good spirits.
Firefighters Made Him Feel Right at Home
The superheroes weren’t the only highlight. Firefighters welcomed Jeremiah into the cab of the engine, and the laughs were easy. Kids and adults alike lit up.
For a child, a fire truck is already a big deal. Getting to climb in, look around, and meet Spider-Man in the same afternoon is something special.
